Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which cover song prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On!??!

Love, the Ramones, but this song has never held any special place in my heart. Pearl Jam is known for doing good covers, but their cover was surprisingly dull. Jack Jaselli’s version was just a bad U2 impersonation. I wasn’t crazy about Kerman’s ska version, but it was the most creative and was kinda fun, so they got my vote.
I thought I knew a thing or two about The Ramones, but I didn’t know the original. Turns out it’s from Brain Drain (1989). I have about a dozen titles by Ramones, but everything is pre-’89 except Acid Eaters.
Never heard of contestants two or three. We like artists to alter the original, so the second guy gets some points for an acoustic Ramones cover. The third act gets some for the ska take, but nobody surpassed Pearl Jam today.
