Carbona vs. Smudge

Carbona:

Smudge:

Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. Only one cover tune will live to play another day and it is your solemn responsibility to decide which one prevails. So tell me … Which Side Are You On?!!?

Also, keep in mind that if you should spontaneously self-actualize while playing a cover then you could – and probably should – nominate it for Top 10 (i.e. “Impeccable”) consideration.

The original and both covers all sound basically the same. Good thing I like this song. 🙂

    Carbona, I guess …

Two pretty identical covers, both competently done. I always liked the Undertones. One of my most memorable concerts ever: The Clash, with The Undertones and Sam & Dave opening. Amazing show. (That was the show where Paul Simonon banged his bass on the stage, the photo of which now graces the cover of London Calling). Anyway… Smudge’s version is a tad more rockin’.
