Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which cover song prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On!??!
Disclaimer: Votes cast from Florida may or may not be counted.
I love the original, but the only cover I liked was the version by The Tremeloes.
The Slackers are always great fun.
The Tremeloes are always professional and entertaining.
He may not deserve this vote, but I just loved David Jo and am still reeling over his death.
I have to give this one to David Johansen and his band helping along with the backing vocals. His version just has a scrappy soul rawness to it which is helped by his being the only live version in the mix here. For the record, Johnny Rivers’s cover of “Baby, I Need Your Lovin'” is my all time favorite Four Tops cover. Just sayin’
