Check out this very cool blog entry by our very own, Arnie. Arnie has been collecting ticket stubs forever. Recently he was acquainted with an artist who photographs ticket stubs as pieces of art. Arnie’s blog on the subject is fascinating to any lover of music and/or art. Highly Recommended!!! Check it out and when you do preferably pull it up on a computer to fully appreciate the artwork’s brilliance.

Thank you, Richie, for linking to my blog. I enjoyed revisiting my ticket stubs and writing the article. Concert posters are obviously art. Album covers, too. I had friends who were big Yes fans, and they were as excited to see the new Roger Dean album cover as they were to hear the music. I had always just thought of my ticket stubs as mementos, not art. But seeing some stubs enlarged and framed, it changed my view on it. Getting to meet the artist (a very cool guy) and seeing how he transforms these torn, wrinkled pieces of paper into an artwork was a real pleasure. I hope y’all enjoy the article.
