Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which cover song prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On!??!
Disclaimer: Votes cast from Florida may or may not be counted.
Well Trusty and Peppermint Creeps played it straight and delivered credible covers but with nothing creatively added.
Boondoggle Keychain certainly made it their own. The problem is I did not like what they made it into.
Admittedly, not a particularly satisfying post today … 😦
I voted Peppermint Creeps solely because I liked the homage to the Dolls.
Didn’t know the original or any of the contestants.
The first two acts stayed close to the original, and Peppermint Creeps win in a close call over Trusty.
I didn’t care for the third version.
I’ve always liked Generation X. Their song “Your Generation” is really right up there with the very best of the punk singles of the day. Ready Steady Go is a little tamer, but still okay. The first two bands here were totally interchangeable. I went with the Peppermint Creeps. The third group turned the song into something barely recognizable, and not in a good way.
