Amazing how Luna actually turned a song that I absolutely fucking HATE, into a really nice song. It was meant to be done slow and mellow, it seems. Which is why I fucking HATE Sheryl Crow’s version.
I was actually not familiar with this song but it appears to have been a big to-do. I have to agree with Plotty on this one. I’m not a fan of Guns N’ Roses and Sheryl Crow’s version is similar. Luna made wholesale changes to a song that desperately help.
I never liked Guns N’ Roses nor other music in this style. But I’m astonished that you were unfamiliar with this song. Wish I could say the same. This had to be one of the most often played rock songs of the post “Stairway To Heaven” era.
Shocked that Dubbs missed out on one of the most omnipresent songs of its era. Ol’ Sheryl is peppier than a squirrel on crack but Luna could do even a car commercial or an Archies song and make it sound good.

Luna’s cover is on the same level of “whoa” as 3TEETH’s take on “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People. Nicely done!
