Everybody’s Dressin’ Funny … Cover Me Impressed!

Not a fan but for some reason there are some pretty good covers of this one. A shame, if only Michael was still alive today, I am sure Trump would have named the pedophile to some blue-ribbon commission for the care of children.

Great band but terrible name. And it’s a pain-in-the-ass to type!

Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which cover song prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On!??!

Shinehead and the Easy guys do nice, cute reggae covers of the tune, but Robbie gives this song more meaning than the song deserves …

I might not be a Michael Jackson fan, but I am a huge fan of Robbie Fulks. Easy call today.

Thank you, Robbie Fulks. Bets version I even heard. Reminds me a lot of Chris Isaak.

I liked all of the offerings to varying degrees. Shinehead had that Lee “Scratch” Morricone sound. Maybe that’s a thing. Easy Star All Stars brought the dub vibes with echoes, horn sounds, extra bass, but needed more editing. Too long and repetitive. Robbie Fulks played Goldilocks. The mostly straight with hint of tease delivery, the guitar tone…damn near perfect.

Ugh. I hate this song. Yes, Robbie Fulks does a great version, but I dunno… I just hate the song. Reggaefying it made it more palatable, but which reggae version was better? I went with Shinehead. Nice and mellow. Would probably sound great on weed, if I still smoked.
