Nikki Sudden provides a straightforward reading. Didn’t do much for me. He gets fourth place today.
Liked the version by Jesse Welles. Good voice, guitar, and harmonica. He gets my vote.
Gregory Isaacs is a great singer, and one of my favorite reggae artists. Whenever he appears, he’ll usually have a good shot at receiving my vote, but I don’t think this song is in his wheelhouse.
Everything The Indigo Girls perform is good. This exceeded expectations. Always love me some mandolin, and really good vocal harmonies.
I prefer the version by The Stones to the Parsons version.
