Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which cover song prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On!??!
Disclaimer: Votes cast from Florida may or may not be counted.
A song I’ve always actively disliked, along with three unpleasant covers. Lovely way to start the day!
The Lurkers are a second-tier, old punk band from the late ’70s. Haven’t heard much of their stuff, to be honest, but of the three mediocrities today, they were the most tolerable, to me.
The Revolvers … love the vocals and guitar work.
The Lurkers … prototypical hardcore punk rendition … it’s fun.
The Hard-Ons … loved this version ever since Pete played it for me decades ago. Alumni of the original cover tapes!
Going with The Revolvers whose vocalist won me over.
The Revolvers were decent but unremarkable.
The Lurkers’ singer sounded like he was influenced by Joey. A little sloppy and rushed (yeah, I know it’s supposed to be).
I voted for The Hard-Ons with the slower melodic intro leading into the blistering drums that power the remainder of the track.
