    A favorite band, as you all know. There are many other songs in their body of work that I prefer, but you can’t deny that this is a classic, just for the guitar riff alone. I loved the version of Lou with Soul Asylum. As for the covers, I’m giving it to Mott the Hoople for their low-key very competent version.

    And for those of you who don’t know… I have, amongst my possessions, a leather jacket that was given to Lou Reed by President Clinton as a gift for playing at the White House. It has the presidential seal embroidered on the inside pocket, and Lou’s signature across the back. One of my prized possessions.
