Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which cover song prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On!??!
Disclaimer: Votes cast from Florida may or may not be counted.
I really like the original by The Shirelles.
Chrissie Hynde sang this song on CMI less than a year ago. Not sure if this is legal, but I think I’ll plagiarize myself and write: “That’s the most I’ve enjoyed anything by Chrissie Hynde. I was never into The Pretenders, but that was good.”
Not as much of a Johnny Thunders fan as the rest of you guys, and I never heard of Patti Palladin until she performed this song on this site previously. Good vocals.
Great sound on that remastered old Beatles gem. They get the vote.
Never heard that cover by Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe, but great vocals as one might expect.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead delivers a great surprise version of this in Death Proof.
