Oh the disharmony! Much like Harlan County there are no neutrals here. It is your solemn responsibility to decide which cover song prevails. In other words … Which Side Are You On!??!

I didn’t realize The Crickets did this song. I bought everything I could get my hands on by Buddy Holly, but I never thought about checking out The Crickets material post-Holly. That would be like continuing to watch Bewitched after the first Darren left. That said, this wasn’t bad.
I always liked the sound on this song by The Bobby Fuller Four. Years ago, I bought a best of by them hoping for a little magic. To my surprise and delight, the entire album was excellent. Sometimes those little gambles pay off.
Barnyard Fury is always worth a listen. They’ve appeared on this site about a half dozen times, and that’s probably the best instrumentation I’ve heard from them.
I had never seen that video clip of The Pogues with Joe Strummer. Great stuff! I didn’t add this Pogues/ Strummer cover to my collection until The Pogues box set came out in ’08. They earn today’s vote.
Don’t know The Bad Shepherds. My first impression was the video was interesting, but I wasn’t crazy about the music. They got my attention when the pipes came in, and I was happily with them the rest of the way.
Not a huge Green Day fan, but that was good, and better than expected.
Good post today that exceeded expectations.
